Highlands Ridge Apartments, a new apartment complex just north of 4th Street in the Highlands Ridge Addition in Pierre. It is located in the Northeast corner of Pierre within ¼ mile of Garfield Avenue, (Truck By-Pass). This is within walking distance to the Pierre Mall, Super Wal-Mart, the Pierre Recreational Trail & the new Kennedy Elementary School. With a mix of both residential and commercial development in this area, Highlands Ridge Apartments and its tenants are in a convenient and exciting part of Pierre.
To make the apartment easy to access, the main entrance to the property is off of Fourth Street. There is a private driveway that feeds the parking lot, which includes a sidewalk for pedestrian access.
The Highlands Ridge Apartments are built to a higher standard using beyond typical sound proofing between the floor, ceiling and walls of the apartment units. Upper levels have concrete floors to alleviate sound from carrying between floors. The exterior walls are finished with a combination of brick and stone masonry with cement board accents.
Midwest Construction is dedicated to Energy Star construction methods. All walls, ceilings and floors are insulated.
The Highlands Ridge Apartment units have interior finishes that are contemporary. This includes vinyl, wood-look plank, and plush carpet flooring. Sleek, clean lines for doors and interior trims. The cabinetry is solid maple with a light finish.
Large Pella windows and patio doors bring more natural lighting into your home with window coverings provided.
Kitchens are equipped with a dining bar counter, large refrigerator, microwave oven, self-cleaning oven/range, and dishwasher.
Technology & Security:
Each Unit is wired for high speed internet at each cable location so that the tenants may enjoy the newest technology available. Midcontinent Cable is the main provider for the building.
The entry to the building requires a fob and visitors are let in through an intercom system connecting the foyer to each of the Units. On-site management has continuous streaming video camera surveillance to provide another level of safety to the tenants.
24/7 lighting is provided in all walking and driving areas.
Four Units are designed to be ADA Accessible to include roll in showers and adjustments to heights of shelving and outlets, as well as two Hearing Impaired Units to serve those with disabilities.
All of the Units are constructed with accessibility and adaptability in mind, which includes wide hallways, 3’ passage doors, and an elevator which make all three floors accessible for young and old.
Laundry: In addition to coin-operated laundry facilities on each floor, every unit is equipped with washer & dryer hookups for the tenant’s use at no additional charge.
Guest Room: Visitors of the tenants may rent this hotel-like room for $50.00 per night providing both convenience and comfort.
Community Room: Spacious gathering room with a partial kitchen and private bathroom may be rented for the day by the tenants or others for meals, parties or meetings.
Garage: The detached garage building houses up to 38 vehicles. The garage is heated and accessed with a fob for opening the overhead garage door. Garage stall rental is an option and is tied into the term of the lease.
Main Building Storage: There are a limited number of storage closets off the corridors available for rent.
A portion of the building is set aside as “Pet Friendly” with a dedicated Pet Park Area. Pets must be neutered or spayed, show proof of current shots and comply with the pet policy. A $200 non-refundable deposit will be required for pets as well as an additional $30/month added to the rent. No more than two pets may reside in an apartment and any pet may be removed for violations of pet policy.
